+150 OFFICIALS DULY TRAINED IN COVID19 TIMES

Moran IP had concluded the first phase of 5 training sessions addressed to more than 100 Panamanian officials fighting against counterfeit. During March, April and May, brand owners had trained officials belonging to the IP Directorate of Panama Customs Authority, Airport customs officials IP Crime Division of National Police, and port officials of UNODC-WCO Container Control Program.

The economic impact of Covid-19 will increase the illicit trade of goods.  More than ever, Panamanian ports and our free trade zone will be used to move counterfeit goods in transit with final destination to other Latin American countries.  Based on our new reality, in June – July  2020 we will initiate the second phase of training addressed to risk analyst officials and IP Prosecutor Office to discuss about modus operandi of illicit trade, sensitive routes, and trending in Latin America.
