On February 19 and 20, 2019, the Regional Workshop on Illicit Traffic and Counterfeit Products – the Operation Maya III was held. Officials from various security and customs agencies in Panama, Central America and the Caribbean participated in the training. MORAN IP had the opportunity to represent Crocs, Inc., UL LLC. and Richemont International S.A., where the modus operandi, routes and trends of illicit trade in the industries of footwear, electrical appliances and luxury good were discussed. As the result of the Interpol training, the Operation Maya III took place in Panama, Central America and the Caribbean in April 2019, where millions of counterfeit products were seized in the region.
