On November 20, 2019, several brand owners such as P&G, Tommy Hilfiger, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, JUUL, Western Digital, J&J, Philips and Dolby conducted a training at P&G Regional Office in Panama city.
The event was had the attendance of over 30 officials from National Customs Authority, Panama National Police, Global Container Control Program (UNODC), Superior Public Prosecutor Office Specializing in Intelectual Property and Computer Security Crime, Special Unit of Sensitive Information of The National Police Intelligence Directorate and the National Directorate of Judicial Investigation(DIJ).
The officials received key information about how identify counterfeit goods and the dangers f counterfeit and diverted goods. Ms. Neysis Gonzalez, Legal Coordinator of Moran IP acted as speaker on behalf of JUUL Labs and Louis Vuitton Malletier.
